    What up, Stoners and Stonettes!

    How’s life out there in America? I’m currently sitting in Detroit Rock City getting ready to hit the road with Sonia Leigh and your Uncle Kracker, and I can’t wait to start rockin' clubs!! All kinds of exciting things are underway around here, that I want to share with you, so buckle up and get your clicking finger ready, cause it’s time to spread the good news!

    First of all, my brand new CD American Style drops TODAY! The artwork turned out great, and I’m super proud of every note on the record. It was an incredible experience working with Kid Rock as a producer, and I feel like the excitement, enjoyment, and Jim Beam spilled all over the album. You’re gonna love it.

    If you’re lucky enough to have a Meijer in your town, then you can head over there and buy one. If not, don’t fret because it's available for download at all of your favorite digital outlets (like iTunes). I’m really excited for everyone to take a listen to American Style. If you like what you hear, send your friends over there for me, and grab yourself a copy too!

    If you’re in Detroit today you can stop in and celebrate with me at Meijer in Allen Park where I’ll be playing a few songs from the album and signing CDs for everyone. I saw my CD next to Bruce Springsteen in the Meijer insert this weekend. I got so excited that I almost spit out my Cinnamon Toast Crunch. ;)

    I’m also throwing a HUGE bash on March 20 in Detroit at the Fillmore so that all of the friends, fans, and family that have supported me for the last ten years can all celebrate the excitement of this release with me. It’s going to be an amazing show full of great songs, and plenty of surprises. I want everyone to be able to come so I’m keeping it real, and making tickets $10. Hope to see you out there!

Hears the thing, I don’t make it a points to go to a lot of concerts. I’m very diligent were Im putt my money, but after hearing this cat in Port Huron yesterday there is no doubt in my mind he’s the “real thing”. Once and a great while there is talent born in this world that should be celebrated because its so unique and rare. I had no problem walking up and buying a CD. AMAZING.. very deserving. The only thing I will say, and I’m calling this shit first. The performance he put on yesterday was “superstar”. The CD is “opening act”. I don’t know who is promoting or producing him, and I’m sure there just tweaking it all out right now, and will figure it out soon enough. But they need to let him just be raw and skip the studio “polishing”. He’s going to do great either way because he’s just that good. However my opinion is that they should push him more in the bluesy direction instead of country. Maybe the guy is more country, I don’t know. However what I saw yesterday live seemed way more natural, and I think is more his vibe (bluesy). It fits him like a tailored suit, and not a lot of people have talent like that. Some people are more Porsche, Ferrari some people a pickup truck. Each of them has its strength and weakness, and only differs ultimately by a matter of opinion. They need to embrace what he is and throw some dirt on that truck. Let it be raw, and let it just go. Even in person he’s a bluesy cat, Way cooler then the way there promoting him. Again it wont be long before his producers figure this out, I just wanted to call it first. It will be interesting to watch this dude become a superstar. Shawn F.
